Geoffrey Beene Gown

The museum at FIT had an exhibit called "Impact: 50 Years of Fashion from the CFDA," and this was one of the gowns featured at the exhibit. It was from Geoffrey Beene's Spring 1990 collection. I would just love to have gone there and look at all the details in the garments.

Yves Saint Laurent

Kate Moss did an ad campaign in Spring 2008 for Yves Saint Laurent and I just love this dress!

Demi Moore and Amanda de Cadenet

From the February issue of Harper's Bazaar I really loved these outfits and the photography.

Billa Bong Ad

I really like this bikini. This is an older advertisement for billa bong. The colors of the bikini and how the top has the little ruffles makes this extra cute. On a side note, I thought this was Kim Kardashian when I first saw the model but its not.

Classic Style

To me Gwyneth Paltrow's style has always been classic. She always has great makeup, hair, and clothes. I love her hair in this picture, it looks effortless.

Manolo Blahnik

I loved this shoes so much that I had to find ones that looked just like them. I needed a little something more in my price range. So I got a pair of Nine West shoes just like them.

Love the Styling

The first thing I love about this picture is the clutch. I love the pheasant feather look and the jewel details. I also love the bangle and there is something about the dress that I love. I feel that it is the color combination of the cream, pink, and black together. I would totally rock this outfit!

Black and White

I love the look of both of these outfits. The first one worn is by Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon. My favorite part about the outfit is that neckline! Adds just the right amount of detail so that you don't have to wear a necklace! The second outfit is worn by Amanda Bynes. I love the highwaisted skirt, and it looks great on her!

Fashion Icon

For as long as I can remember, Brigitte Bardot has been one of my biggest fashion icons. I love how she dresses in such a timeless classic way. My favorite part of Brigitte though is her hair. Every time I go to get my hair colored I tell my mom that I want my hair to look like Brigitte Bardot's. I just love the sex kitten look. How it looks like she just woke up and has the most beautiful bed head. I constantly look to her for inspiration if I don't know what to do with my hair.

A little bit of everything

When I first look at this D&G top, I think it has a little bit of a goth look. But I also get other feelings about this top. It definitely has an elegant feel and somewhat of a peasant top feel. Either way you can wear it many different ways and achieve the look you are going for. They have also paired this high end top with low end pieces, such as the tank underneath is from Kmart for 7.99.

I have always liked this jewel-trimmed top by Azzaro. I thought it would be beautiful if it were a floor length dress. I may try to make one someday.

Tops is the new tag!

I have added a new tag to the blog, tops! This is one that I could see myself wearing. It is worn by Paz Vega, you may recognize her from the 2004 movie Spanglish with Adam Sandler. I love the pleating and the jewel details.

My Weakness is Makeup

If I were a superhero, I wouldn't be a very successful one. Even though I would try to fight crime my inner strength would just pull me to every cosmetic counter or makeup department because that is my weakness. I have so much makeup that I constantly have to throw it out because it doesn't last forever. I always find new products that I want to try or beautiful colors that I just have to have. Vincent Longo's collection is no exception. I love every single one of these colors. The Wet Diamond Eyeshadow in Dawn Fresh and the Diamond Gloss in Rosewood Luster are probably my favorite. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to fight the crime.

Alice In Wonderland

This photoshoot looks like it would be very fun! You get to wear designer clothes, be Alice from Alice in Wonderland, and hang out with designers all day! Natalie Vodianova is one of my favorite models. I feel that she can pull off hardcore looks as well as innocent ones. She has a very broad range!

House of Harlow Sunglasses

I have always been a fan of Nicole Richie, and I love the House of Harlow line. To me the bigger the glasses the better. I love the hint of gold on the sides of the frames. I would love to have these added to my collection.

Love this Caftan!

I know its getting colder outside, but I can still look forward to summer next year. I saw this caftan in Lucky Magazine as a giveaway. Of course I entered to win it, but didn't. If feel like this would be really easy to make for yourself. I love the different prints that are on this garment, as well as the pop of orange color. I can just picture myself in a cute little bikini underneath this, with a Mai Tai in hand. Very chic and I love it!

Pretty Cute Uggs

I never really got on board with the Ugg craze. Didn't buy a pair or anything like it. Back when everyone was buying them I had purchased a pair of knee high, black cowboy boot looking, but with a 4 inch heel and a brown motorcycle boot. I have to admit that the Uggs looked cozy and comfortable but for some reason I wasn't in love with them. Other people looked great in them but it wasn't for me at the time. I came across these that tie up the side and thought that they were pretty cute. The model even has a really cute outfit that goes with them. I still don't want a pair of uggs, but if I had to pick one, these would be them.

I adore these rings!

Everything about these rings I absolutely love. The rings, made by David Yurman, caught my eye as I was turning the pages of Vogue this past summer. The color is the first thing that is my favorite, I honestly don't think I could just pick one. Even though green does not look the best on me, I still love it. It says in the article, "Designed to fit the delicate contours of a woman's pinkie," but I would love to wear it on my ring or middle finger. I not really a pinkie ring fan unless it is a simple gold or silver plain band. Of course anything sparkly or made of diamonds I love.

Update on California

Well we have bought a house in California finally! Still on the job hunt though and will be getting college lined up so that I can start school in January. We got to sleep for the first time in our new house last night. It is starting to feel like home even though everything is still in boxes and is not organized by any means. I feel like this house has good vibes in it, unlike our other house we just moved out of. I actually want to do things in our new house and get involved with my crafts. I am excited to finally get this house the way that I want it, I have even started painting some of the rooms. I unpacked some pictures and forgot that I even had them. I just can't wait to decorate. My new goals right now are to get this house in some working order, organize my crafts and hopefully make and sell some stuff on Etsy.com, and to be more independent and willing to do things by myself. I want to blog more, as always so keep checking back.

California!!!

We just moved to California in the beginning of June. I really need to start blogging again. I found where I can FINALLY take fashion design classes. I have only been waiting since high school to do this. I have my degree in Fashion Merchandising, but my real passion was design. I may start school this fall, depending on if I can get everything lined up by then. I am going to be on the job hunt as well as looking to purchase a home. So I will have a lot on my plate. I am going to play with my camera and see what kind of pictures I can take since I got my remote shutter and tripod! Stay Tuned!

New Stuff I Bought

Card stock that I bought for scrapbooking as well as cardmaking. I just love all the different themes they come out with for these books.
These all came in a set for around 10 bucks. I love the design on them. I believe I got these at Old Time Pottery in Foley, AL.
I just love the color of this vase. Don't have a place to put this just yet, but I will make room for this one. Lux, along with all the other cats love their Christmas present. I am so glad that I got this for them.

So excited to start doing card making. I really wanted to make Christmas cards for everyone this past year but didn't have the time. Since I have everything now, and hopefully the things that I don't have are on clearance, I can make all the cards I want.

My LUSH Experience

Back in October when my husband and I went to New Orleans I decided that I would do a little research before we went to see if the LUSH store was there. To give everyone a little back story, I had seen this store on TV back when I was in college and I thought that this was the most amazing store ever! They have a homemade natural approach on their products but with super cute advertising and packaging. I had always wanted to try products from LUSH, but I never knew what to order from their catalog, since I had never been to their store. Well I had my chance finally! I found out exactly where it was before we left the house. When we got to New Orleans we took it easy and gambled, saw the museums, had some drinks, but in reality I couldn't think about anything else but visiting LUSH.
On day 3 we were able to go for a walk and visit. I kept telling my husband that we should be able to smell the store from a block away ( I had heard that from the TV show). We finally caught a whiff of something that didn't smell like garbage on the streets. To me it smelled like incense. Rue asked me if that was it. I didn't think so, I thought it would smell more fruity. Sure enough that was the store we were smelling.

I don't know if I had really high expectations or if I had hyped the store up in my head all these years but I felt like a lot of their products smelled the same. I picked up different soaps, lotions, bath bombs, etc. Everything had the same scent. I was able to pick out a couple that I thought I would enjoy though.

The heavanilli massage bar was the only one that I purchased. The other ones looked way cuter, but I didn't like the smell. This one, when I rub it on me some of the pink comes off on your skin. Once you rub it in though it kinda goes away. Basically this is a lotion/massage bar. Nice concept, it should last me a long time.

This is the sex bomb. I actually did a report on the LUSH store in college. We had to pick a business to write a paper on why we liked it so much. This sex bomb had just come out back then and I wanted to feature it in the report. When I saw this one in the store, I knew even if it smelled bad, I had to get it. Thankfully it doesn't smell bad and I can't wait to use it.

This was the vanilla fountain bath. It is a bath bomb that fizzes in your bath water. It has a real vanilla bean sticking out of the top of it.

I really like this stuff. It is Bubblegum lip scrub. It is edible and smells so great. To me this was the best smell in the entire store.

Happy New Year!!!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy New Years! I unfortunately didn't make it, my husband and I started playing Black Ops on the Xbox and drinking beers. Next thing you know he was sleeping on the couch, and I followed right behind him. We actually went to bed at 11:20.

I feel like I have started off the New Year on a good foot though. I got some things accomplished today, organized the desk, went grocery shopping, got all the Christmas decorations put away, two loads of dishes, and one load of laundry.

I have been considering doing a vlog and possibly having a youtube channel. I may just end up having everything on here though, still need to think that one out. I am excited for 2012 and everything that it will bring.

Tomorrow is mimosa Monday for me!!
