My LUSH Experience

Back in October when my husband and I went to New Orleans I decided that I would do a little research before we went to see if the LUSH store was there. To give everyone a little back story, I had seen this store on TV back when I was in college and I thought that this was the most amazing store ever! They have a homemade natural approach on their products but with super cute advertising and packaging. I had always wanted to try products from LUSH, but I never knew what to order from their catalog, since I had never been to their store. Well I had my chance finally! I found out exactly where it was before we left the house. When we got to New Orleans we took it easy and gambled, saw the museums, had some drinks, but in reality I couldn't think about anything else but visiting LUSH.
On day 3 we were able to go for a walk and visit. I kept telling my husband that we should be able to smell the store from a block away ( I had heard that from the TV show). We finally caught a whiff of something that didn't smell like garbage on the streets. To me it smelled like incense. Rue asked me if that was it. I didn't think so, I thought it would smell more fruity. Sure enough that was the store we were smelling.

I don't know if I had really high expectations or if I had hyped the store up in my head all these years but I felt like a lot of their products smelled the same. I picked up different soaps, lotions, bath bombs, etc. Everything had the same scent. I was able to pick out a couple that I thought I would enjoy though.

The heavanilli massage bar was the only one that I purchased. The other ones looked way cuter, but I didn't like the smell. This one, when I rub it on me some of the pink comes off on your skin. Once you rub it in though it kinda goes away. Basically this is a lotion/massage bar. Nice concept, it should last me a long time.

This is the sex bomb. I actually did a report on the LUSH store in college. We had to pick a business to write a paper on why we liked it so much. This sex bomb had just come out back then and I wanted to feature it in the report. When I saw this one in the store, I knew even if it smelled bad, I had to get it. Thankfully it doesn't smell bad and I can't wait to use it.

This was the vanilla fountain bath. It is a bath bomb that fizzes in your bath water. It has a real vanilla bean sticking out of the top of it.

I really like this stuff. It is Bubblegum lip scrub. It is edible and smells so great. To me this was the best smell in the entire store.
